Jane and Shane find comfort in one another as he prepares to leave Erinsborough in Neighbours

But are they willing to pursue a relationship?

 23-29 NOVEMBER

As Shane and Jane catch up for a drink, their fun, nostalgic conversation takes on a distinctly flirty vibe when the subject of their long-ago relationship comes up.

Intrigued to witness this, the next day Nicolette and Max question their parents and Shane acts like it was nothing significant and Jane insists she’s very glad it didn’t go any further.

Later, Shane visits Jane to let her know he’s leaving town again. Fondly recalling her youthful cheer-leading talents, the vibes suddenly grow flirty again.

Calling it out, Jane checks that this obviously isn’t going any further as neither of them would want to ruin a friendship, and Shane agrees. But when Nicolette and Max pop over to the house later, they spring Jane and Shane in flagrante!

Having caught her mum with Shane, Nicolette is curious by her hopping from one guy to the next. But when Jane explains that Shane was there to comfort her after she learnt that Melanie and Vic are officially together, Nicolette helps her realise that she keeps turning to exes and old friends for romantic support.

When Shane and Jane agree they aren’t in the right headspace for a new relationship, Jane’s determined to have a fresh start and date a guy who isn’t someone she already knows.

Meanwhile, Shane heads back to Queensland, with Max thanking his dad for making sure he is no longer in danger.
