Jean pleads with Ruby to drop the charges against Stacey in EastEnders

Does she manage to convince her? Or has Ruby got bigger things to worry about?

Cleaning No.1, Jean notices Chantelle’s old jewellery box, swiping a necklace, she takes it to the pawn shop. Feeling awful, she bumps into a happy Ruby and Martin and angrily confronts them about what they are doing to Stacey.

The next day, Ruby makes her feelings about the Slaters pretty clear to Kush, explaining Jean’s outburst the day before. When he checks in with Jean, Kush is surprised as she shows remorse and worry for Martin and suggests he take him out for a drink that evening. Unbeknownst to him she has a plan.

When Ruby finds Jean in her living room she is shocked as Jean begs her to drop the charges against Stacey. Later, Jean catches Ruby who tells her she will call DS Barnes and drop the charges.

After Stacey receives some bad news from her solicitor, Mo finds her a lawyer who tells her that she could get the sentence down to six months if she pleads guilty.

When Jean bursts in to tell Stacey that Ruby is dropping the case, Stacey is suspicious and wants to confront Ruby herself. Jean convinces her not to and tells her to relax. But is Stacey right to be suspicious?

Meanwhile at the club, Ruby leaves a message for DS Barnes and afternoon, her and Martin go to a medical appointment where the doctor informs her she might have endometriosis, which affects her fertility.
