Jodie’s sinister plan leaves Shona questioning herself in Corrie

Will Shona see through her sister’s scheming?

As a bleary-eyed Shona struggles with Harper, Jodie reminds her she promised Lily a cake for the school sale. Refusing to help, Jodie claims she has a dentist’s appointment.

After a stressful morning, Shona’s horrified when the smoke alarm goes off, and she realises she’s burnt cake as Jodie watches from the garden, enjoying her sister’s torment.

Whilst Shona takes a nap on the sofa, Jodie slips in. Soon, Doug and David arrive, horrified to find the kitchen full of smoke and Shona asleep. As David tries to wake her, will Shona and Harper be ok?

With Shona feeling useless at home, David and Jodie insist she just relax, and Shona goes to fetch Harper for her bath.

Meanwhile, Jodie replaces the water with boiling water from the kettle, and when David tests the water, he yelps in pain. When Shona walks in with Harper, David rails at her, pointing out she could have scalded their daughter. When Shona apologises profusely, will David accept?

Later, Jodie secretly forms a plan after Gemma tells her about her own postnatal depression.

As David and Shona leave for their romantic lunch, Jodie criticises Shona’s hair and outfit to dent her confidence.

Arriving back home, Shona enters the house to hear Harper crying, but when she tries the annexe door, finds it locked. David enters to find Shona beside herself with worry.

Upset, Shona heads out for a walk and when Asha finds her in Victoria Garden with Harper, she’s concerned to smell wine on Shona’s breath.

After hearing Harper cry, Shona goes to fetch her, but soon David enters from the garden carrying a happy smiley Harper. Upset, Shona is convinced she must be hearing things.

Later, David accompanies Shona to the doctor’s, and when she later takes a nap, Jodie remarks to David that it must be difficult being a carer and a single parent. But David asserts that it’s only a blip.
