Karl learns the truth about Darcy's secret in Neighbours

But what will he do with this new information?

 5-11 APRIL

After receiving feedback on his health centre presentation from Karl and Susan, Darcy feels confident about convincing Dr. Kayembe, another one of Karl’s hospital contacts, to invest in his project. But when Darcy’s knocked back again, Karl, still hiding his pain killer withdrawal symptoms from Susan, begins to wonder if there’s something else going on.

After calling Dr. Kayembe, Karl learns that Darcy was recently fired from another wellness centre up in Sydney and is currently embroiled in legal action. Growing more and more suspicious that Darcy is hiding something, Karl lets himself into Darcy’s house and starts rummaging through his briefcase, only for Darcy to catch him red-handed.

Having been caught out, Karl struggles to explain himself to Darcy who eventually reveals the truth about his drama with his last job. He was unfairly dismissed after sounding the alarm over a patient rip-off.

Karl’s left even more sheepish when Darcy realises he’s also stopped taking his medication. Darcy orders Karl to get back on it, lest going cold turkey do him real damage.

After almost coming clean to Susan about his struggles, Karl chickens out again and when he thanks Darcy for his forgiveness, Darcy suggests there is a way he can make it up to him. And a desperate Karl is all ears.
