With Toadie having accepted her resignation, Mackenzie confesses that although she will miss Erinsborough, leaving will give her and Haz a chance to start afresh, unburdened by their history on Ramsay Street.
With Holly's help, Mackenzie tries on wedding dresses from an online service. She isn’t thrilled by the options, but she’s on a budget and working to a tight timeline.
After Mackenzie shows Holly a dress online she loves, but is way out of her budget, as a guide, she surprises Mackenzie with a gift of the very same expensive dress.
As Mackenzie and Haz continue their wedding preparations, Krista and Byron prepare to search for new housemates.
With the Share House breaking up, Byron opens up to Haz that he’s scared of how everything is about to change. Haz admits he’s also nervous about tackling life in Paris without his people around. And Byron is struck with an idea for a perfect wedding gift.
Later, the Share House crew sinks in disbelief when Vera invites herself to Haz and Mackenzie’s wedding. Determined to save the wedding from being Punted, Byron gives Vera an incorrect date!
Meanwhile, Amira arrives ahead of Mackenzie and Haz’s wedding and in the joyful wake of her arrival, Haz wishes his parents were also already there to join in the fun.
Noticing Amira’s repeated subject changes at the mention of their parents, Nicolette privately confronts her and she confesses that her parents are not as far along in the journey to forgive Haz as he thinks and they are not coming to the wedding.
Overhearing this confession, Mackenzie thinks they need to tell Haz, but Amira cannot bring herself to impart the bad news. Resolving to take on the task herself, Mackenzie finds she can’t go through with it.
Amira laments that her parents can’t see the wonderful life Haz has built for himself in Erinsborough, with so many loving friends. If they could, they might be more forgiving.
This leaves Byron with an idea to show them just that, video testimonials from all of Haz’s friends to send to them, and the others agree it is worth a shot.
