Max struggles to get over Holly as Sadie faces her own rejection in Neighbours

But can they find comfort in one another?

 20-26 SEPTEMBER

Sadie’s disheartened by Holly’s persistent brush-offs, and in an attempt to cheer up both her and Max, Taye, who’s on a skincare kick, proposes making some face masks of their own. Who knows? This could be the start of a new empire!

Reluctant, Max takes part, but can’t cope when Sadie and Taye get into a lovey-dovey play fight and makes a hasty exit. Feeling terrible, Sadie and Taye apologise to Max, who wishes he could find a way to get over Holly.

Sadie meanwhile, confronts Holly and demands to know why she’s being so distant. Just because she’s broken up with Max, it doesn’t mean they have to end their friendship, too, does it? Holly, whose head is now filled with dreams of moving away with Andrew, tells Sadie it’s obvious she’s taken Max’s side, which means it’s too difficult to remain friends.

And Sadie is left feeling devastated when Holly says she thinks it’s better if they stay out of each other’s lives from now on.

As a tonic for their recent Holly woes, Sadie, Max and Taye head to the beach for the day and Max immediately hits it off with one of the volleyball players, Jayda, and is eager to impress her. As things heat up between then, Max can’t go through with kissing Jayda, clear that he’s a long way off from being over his breakup.

A glum Sadie debriefs with Taye, having reached out to Mackenzie for advice on Holly, only for her to reveal that Holly seems to be ghosting her too.

Still downtrodden, Max and Sadie feel lucky to lean on each other as they navigate the fallout created by Holly.
