As a bright, bubbly and rejuvenated Melanie wraps up her time on the road, she spontaneously asks helpful stranger Logan to assist her with the morning rush at the drinks van.
As the two share stories from their travels around Australia, Melanie starts to see a kindred spirit in the young man and when Logan makes it known he’s looking to find somewhere to settle, Melanie encourages him to return to Erinsborough with her.
Intrigued, Logan accepts, but as he stares at the image of David on the side of the van, we’re left with the distinct feeling that there’s more to this stranger than he's letting on.
Glowing, Melanie arrives back in Erinsborough with her new partner in crime, Logan and Karl and Susan are concerned that she has picked up an itinerant strange. Charming on the surface, Logan later impresses Karl and Susan at a welcome dinner. And he's oddly intent when he happens upon Aaron teaching Sam to dance at Lassiters.
When Melanie introduces Aaron to Logan, he offers his sympathy for Aaron’s loss, having heard all about David from Melanie. When Logan suggests he and Melanie kick on after dinner, she invites Aaron to join them.
As the night ends, Logan pulls out his phone and brings up a photo of himself, 10 years ago, with his arm around someone.... David!
While out jogging, Logan engineers a meeting with Aaron and after the two have coffee together, Logan steals Aaron’s earbuds to justify another meeting.
Sensing something is off, Melanie sees how keen Logan is to be around Aaron and assumes it’s romantic. What she doesn’t see is Logan mysteriously peering at a photo of David at Aaron’s house. What is his agenda?
