Newcomer Zac is determined to keep his past hidden in Neighbours

But what is he hiding?

Meeting a handsome stranger at the Back Lane Bar, Colton feels instant chemistry and time flies between the pair, until his companion, is forced to leave for an interview. But not before coming back and mischievously kissing him.

Meanwhile, Leo is eager for some alone time with Krista, who promises to give him all her attention once she’s finished recruiting a potential new 2IC. When Krista arrives for the interview, Terese teases that her 2IC applicant should know the brand well, enter her nephew Zac Willis, the mystery man from the bar and the 2IC hopeful.

As Terese catches up with her nephew, Zac is reluctant to divulge much information about his recent breakup. After nailing his interview, Zac is awarded the 2IC role.

While meeting for drinks with Leo and Krista, Colton is surprised and delighted to see Zac walk in. He’s the new 2IC hire at Lassiters! Inviting him out for a drink sometime, Colton feels hopeful when Zac rainchecks him.

When Terese invites him to move into No.22, Colton excuses himself to take a call. However, annoyed by the number calling him, Zac bounces the call before running into an eager Colton who invites him in for a tour and a swim. But Zac makes it clear that there’s nothing between them, leaving Colton with emotional whiplash.

Collecting his things from the hotel, Zac receives another call and again rejects it before tossing his phone into Lassiters Lake.

With Terese surprised that Zac turned down Colton’s advances, he is forced to deny their spark and as he settles into his new position as 2IC, Krista and Zac seem to be on their way to dream-team status. But Zac insists on keeping his photo off the Lassiters website, claiming it’s an unattractive picture.

Later, when checking in on Elle, Zac resonates with her words after she vents about being unable to outrun her past in today’s digital age. It always catches up with you. Will it catch up with Zac?

Leo is less than pleased when his one-on-one time with Krista is hijacked by Zac, who is seeking refuge from the tension at No.22 and an oblivious Krista invites Zac to stay, enjoying their new friendship.

Later, in the office, Krista and Zac continue to bond after he presents her with the Bronze Bell. When Terese and Leo cross paths, Leo expresses his fear that he will take a backseat to Krista’s work life, but Terese assures he has nothing to worry about.
