Nicolette goes out of her way to help ex-girlfriend Kiri in Neighbours

Will her efforts bring them closer together?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 15TH JULY

Following the recent revelations about how their relationship ended, awkwardness lingers between Nicolette and Kiri and when Kiri bonds wih their other queer lady neighbours, Nicolette is thrown and jealous.

When Kiri admits to Leo she thinks that working with Nicolette may ultimately prove too complicated after all, Leo isn’t surprised or upset as he’s found a wealthy venture capitalist who may step into the breach instead, which would be a much simpler solution for him.

After learning that they're likely to be supplanted by the new investor, Byron and Nicolette are deeply disappointed and Byron finds himself alone at the vineyard when a call comes through from Leo’s potential investor.

Thinking on his feet, Byron lies that Leo is not interested anymore and the opportunity is no longer available. As the call ends abruptly, Byron can’t even process his impulsive actions before a shocked Krista speaks up behind him. What has he just done?

Outraged, Krista urges Byron to fix his mess with Leo’s big investor. However, Byron is unable to and Krista is torn as he desperately begs her to keep quiet, insisting the truth will leave Leo with no option at all to save the business.

Seeing no other choice, Krista is forced to lie to Leo as she reveals his venture capitalist is out. Devastated, Leo reverts to the co-investment trial with Nicolette, Byron and Kiri. Relieved they still have a chance, Nicolette realises everything now hinges on her fixing things with Kiri.

Drawn back to her old church, Kiri is surprised to run into Sasha and even more shocked to learn that the church is being shut down due to funding issues. Although the unexpected encounter leads Sasha and Kiri to clear the air, when Kiri prompts him to confirm Nicolette’s revelation about true attraction toward him on her side, Sasha urges her to seek her answers from Nicolette.

The women finally talk openly and Nicolette explains the intense connection she momentarily felt with Sasha, but firmly assures that the fleeting attraction hasn’t changed her being a lesbian.

Following the intimate conversation, Nicolette learns that the church is closing and her hope of making things right with Kiri and saving the vineyard partnership is ignited. Determined to get pn better terms with Kiri, Nicolette claims it's purely for the sake of their business relationship.

Wanting to raise money to fix the roof of Kiri’s church, Nicolette enlists the help of Toadie, Terese and Haz in hurriedly throwing together a second-hand furniture sale. Despite not telling Kiri what she’s up to, there are increasing hints of the old urst between these two exes.

Just as the sale takes off, Lassiters interim manager Brett revokes permission and Nicolette confronts him, passionately making her case for the importance of saving the church.

Caught up in the confrontation, she doesn’t register the arrival of Kiri, who’s stunned to realise the lengths her former flame has gone to in order to help a cause dear to her heart.
