Nicolette struggles to trust Addison after making a shocking discovery in Neighbours

But is she being too quick to judge?

After finding out that Addison has snuck into the school again, since it’s a quieter place to study than her emergency foster care home, Jane asks JJ to check in with her, knowing how much she could use a friend.

Against the odds, Addison and JJ strike up what could be a budding friendship, until Nicolette trips over Addison’s bag in Harold’s, leading to a heated argument.

Later, Jane finds Addison at the school again who admits that while she could go back to foster care, the school is simply a more comforting environment.

Jane gets permission from Leila for Addison to spend the night at her place instead, but as she tentatively settles in, Nicolette is not happy to see the rude girl from the café in her own home.

Feeling uneasy about foster kid Addison staying in their house, Despite a brief urge to mother the struggling teen, she is determined to get rid of her by finding her actual AWOL parent.

When Krista discovers Nicolette's internet sleuthing, she's shocked to discover Addison’s mother is named Shannon Rutherford and reveals that Shannon is the drug dealer whose manipulatons and carelessness put Abby in hospital.

Alarmed, Nicolette becomes even more convinced they need to be rid of Addison, despite warnings from Paul and Jane not to tar the girl with the same brush as her mum.

Unfortunately, before Nicolette can be entirely convinced, Addison overhears Nicolette’s distrust of her and she’s determined to leave. Belatedly, Nicolette realises she’s been too harsh, and that Addison deserves to have a stable home, especially because of her difficult start in life.

But although Nicolette tries to apologise, Addison is offered a new foster care situation and decides it’s the simplest option.
