With a lot on her plate ahead of the Eirini Rising opening, Paul offers to help Terese in her hunt for an Operations Manager. But she politely turns him down, confident she’s on top of it.
When Terese thinks she's found the perfect fit in the engaging Miles, Paul does some digging and uncovers some serious red flags. Realising Paul has a skill in this area, she agrees to let him help as her search continues.
Curious, Jane questions the excessively generous level of Paul’s assistance and the close relationship between the pair. And although Terese continues to assure her that the two of them are just friends, Jane's left feeling that Terese may be kidding herself.
While working with Paul on staffing Eirini Rising, Terese catches sight of Melanie and makes an immediate retreat. And Terese admits to Paul that she has to flee every time she sees Melanie because she refuses to cry in front of her.
Saddened, Melanie hates that her very presence causes such an impact on Terese’s life and corners her to offer a genuine and sincere apology for her betrayal. She hopes it will help Terese feel less triggered if she knows how genuine and intense her regret is.
To Terese’s surprise it does and she tells Melanie that her apology has been accepted. What she feels more than anything now is deep sadness that everyone’s lives are worse off.
