Paul fails to open up to Terese as Chelsea tells him the truth about Thomas in Neighbours

But what will happen when Terese receives a letter from Jeffrey?

 24-30 MAY

Paul is in a state of numb shock after learning unexpected news from Chelsea and fails to open up to Terese as he wrestles with what to do. Chelsea, meanwhile, is sure it’s only a matter of time before Paul’s wrath is unleashed and contemplates fleeing town.

Chelsea learns that Paul has put Jeffrey in his place and once again uses Paul’s connection with Thomas to her own advantage.

Offering a sleepover at the Penthouse, Chelsea lies about not having enough milk for Thomas and uses this as an excuse to insert herself in Paul and Terese’s family time. But Terese is wise to her machinations.

Paul is moved when Terese offers to dig out her family hand-me-downs for Thomas. But Chelsea’s jealousy flares as she learns of Terese’s growing investment in her son’s life.

When Terese is unable to attend an upcoming sensory class, Chelsea makes a point of putting the other woman in her corner.

Having had enough of the war, Terese later challenges Chelsea to accept that there is no place for her in Paul’s heart and to focus on Thomas, instead of playing games she can never win.

As much as Terese’s diatribe is a reality check for Chelsea, it’s an epiphanic moment for herself as the depth of Paul’s devotion crystallises.

Chelsea is later given a win by Cara, in a pool match riddled with sisterly love, and commits to staying in town.

Meanwhile, heartened by Paul’s infinite love and continued care, Terese is all in when Paul proposes an alternate class for Thomas that matches her schedule.

However, their blissful bubble is popped when she receives a letter from Jeffrey revealing that Thomas’s DNA report was faked, and he is Thomas’s father, not Paul.

While Terese is floored by the bombshell, Paul knows his castle of secrets may well have imploded.
