Paul has an emotional goodbye as Chelsea leaves with Thomas in Neighbours

Will this be the fresh start Paul and Terese need?

Paul tries to convince Terese to stay and talk things over but she’s firm as he went against her wishes and she will not be in the same building as Chelsea.

Grateful for Paul’s hospitality, Chelsea offers him Thomas to hold. Cara walks in on Paul’s fatherly moment and, embarrassed, he rushes out.

As Nell, JJ and Terese moving things back into the Willis house, Paul arrives and he and Terese talk things over, but are still at a stalemate. Terese needs space.

Meanwhile, Krista’s concerned over Paul’s delusion that things will work out between him, Terese, Chelsea and Thomas and Leo can’t help but agree.

While JJ and his mums have breakfast with Chelsea, Paul stops by the table and offers to invest in Chelsea’s perfume business to help her get back on her feet. Checking in on Terese, Krista and Leo agree that Paul’s attachment to Thomas isn’t healthy. And JJ is forced to admit the news about Paul offering to invest in Chelsea’s perfume business.

When Terese confronts Paul, he says it’s a way of getting Chelsea out of their life, and she

presents him with an ultimatum. He needs to choose between her or Thomas.

While Terese is calm and pragmatic about her decision, Leo counsels an upset Paul to choose Terese, which he does.

Apologising to Terese for his hesitation, Paul assures her he has put Chelsea and Thomas in the past, much to her relief. Paul then rescinds his offer of investing in the perfume business to Chelsea and tells her she can’t be in his life anymore.

Chelsea is stunned, bringing up the fact Paul knew he wasn’t Thomas’ father before anyone else, but is coy with what she’ll do with the information. Talking one-on-one with Terese, Chelsea warns her that Paul’s need to fill the void left by David won’t go away soon.

Solid in her trust of him, Terese suggests to Paul that he moves back into her house on Ramsay Street so they can build their new future together, and Paul gladly accepts.

Chelsea lets Cara and Remi know she’s contacted her kids, who have agreed to let her back into their lives, so she’s returning to the Gold Coast with Thomas that night. As Remi and Cara mend fences, they wish Chelsea all the best.

Meanwhile, Paul has an emotional goodbye with Thomas and has his own full-circle moment as he steps into his new future on Ramsay Street with Terese.

Paul tries to win points with Nell by bringing a fancy coffee machine into the Willis house, but the gesture falls flat as her disappointment for how he’s treated Terese lingers.

Later, Paul and Terese throw a going away party for Leo and Krista, and although their holiday itinerary makes some jealous, they’re already thinking about coming home and hoping that home might be the Penthouse now that Paul’s on Ramsay Street.

With Paul all too happy for Leo, Krista and Abby to move in, life’s good for the Tanakas.
