Remi moves out as she and Cara navigate their new reality in Neighbours

Can they ever find a way back to one another?

After Remi admits to Susan that her whole life makes sense without Cara, Cara meanwhile fears that Remi might never want to reconnect. But Karl urges her to hold onto hope.

When Remi is given the all-clear to go home, Cara is sad to learn that she only wants to live with Dex and JJ. Though Remi accepts Cara means no harm, she is still a stranger to Remi.

Despite not wanting to distress Remi, Cara doesn’t feel comfortable moving away from her sons, proposing that she and Remi have separate bedrooms.

Returning home, Remi is clearly overwhelmed and she and JJ share a memory about a trip to the beach. But when Cara sadly adds that she was there too, Remi can’t remember her being there. When Cara disciplines JJ, Remi lashes out at Cara to not talk to ger son like that.

As Cara and Remi talk through Remi’s outburst, both want the other to be more empathetic. Remi’s convinced she’s right, but when she overhears Cara reassuring the boys about their family situation, she realises how much they rely on Cara, and this situation isn’t working.

Later, Remi tells the boys and Cara that for the time being, she’s decided to move into the Kennedys’.

Believing they should be spending time getting to know each other again, Cara’s devasted at Remi’s insistence on moving into Number Twenty-Eight, and her hurt ramps up when Remi suggests drawing up a visitation schedule for the boys.

As Remi changes her name at work to simply Remi Varga, Susan gently suggests that Remi gives more time and bandwidth to Cara, leaving Remi to digest the advice.
