Rhett drops a huge bombshell before revealing their big news to their daughters in Neighbours

Will it stop them from taking the next step?

Aaron and Rhett prepare for their playdate with their daughters to tell them the big news that they’re officially a couple! But Rhett's mood is marred, as he reveals to Aaron that he witnessed something worrying at the Lassiters On Tap van. He saw Holly and Andrew kissing.

Aaron instantly thinks he’s got it wrong, but Rhett doesn’t think he does. Later, Aaron asks Holly about it who is quick to deny, which suggests Rhett is confused, or is getting back at Andrew for the fine he gave him.

When Aaron presents him with these theories, Rhett is upset and insulted that Aaron would think this about him and suggests it may be too soon to tell their daughters about them.

Making peace with Rhett, Aaron still isn’t sure if he and Tilly will join them for the planned playdate/boyfriend declaration and for a moment it seems like Rhett isn’t coming, but then he and Tilly arrive with cupcakes.

In ‘tea party’ character, the men tell the girls they’d like to be a couple and both Isla and Tilly are ecstatic at the thought of being sisters. Isla even asks if Rhett will be her new Daddy David and Rhett offers that no one could replace David, but if Isla’s comfortable, he’d love to be the next best thing.

And it’s an emotional and happy moment for Aaron who is finally taking the next step in a big way.
