Rose Matafeo's stand-up special Horndog, coming to the BBC

The HBO Max special will be made available to UK viewers later this month on BBC Three and BBC One.

Horndog, the Edinburgh Comedy Award winning stand-up special from comedian, writer, and actor Rose Matafeo will arrive on BBC Three and BBC One late February.

Rose has kissed nearly ten men in her life, AKA she’s a total horndog. Her brand new special of critically applauded stand-up is whirlwind of mid-20s angst and fizzing obsession which enjoyed successful sell-out performances around the world, before making its television debut on HBO Max in the US last year.

New Zealand born Rose has established herself as one of the most exciting new voices in comedy and is firmly fixed as the “voice of millennials” (Comedy Awards) and is currently working on her debut romcom Starstruck, which is set to launch later this year on BBC Three and HBO Max.

A regular face on screen, January saw Rose star in the feature film Baby Done, executive produced by Taika Waititi and she has also appeared on Taskmaster, Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety Performance, Unspun with Matt Forde, Ultimate Worrier, Hypothetical, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, The Last Leg and Conan.

Rose has also acted in BBC Two's W1A, BBC Three's Pls Like and can currently be seen in E4's second series of Dead Pixels.

Rose Matafeo is one of I Talk Telly's 21 TV Stars of Tomorrow for 2021. Full list here.
