Saturday Night Live UK is returning to Sky One for an extended second run

12 episodes will air starting this September!

Following the huge success of its first run, Sky has confirmed that Saturday Night Live UK will return for a second series, with an extended 12-episode run from this September until early 2027.

The British incarnation of NBC’s legendary late-night comedy showcase, live from London on Saturday night, has proved a huge success with viewers, with hosts for series one including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall, Nicola Coughlan and Aimee Lou Wood, with Hannah Waddingham hosting this weekend and Ncuti Gatwa closing out the series next weekend.

SNL UK’s inaugural cast are Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Written, rehearsed and performed in the week of broadcast, preserving SNL’s famously fast turnaround creative process, each show is staged in front of a live studio audience. Every episode features an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music, and a UK adaptation of SNL’s iconic satirical news segment, Weekend Update.
