Sky Mangel makes a surprise return, wanting to take Harold back home with her in Neighbours

But can she be convinced that Eirini Rising is a safe place?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 1ST JULY

Having heard about the recent spate of thefts and pranks, Sky Mangel makes a surprise visit as she's worried about her grandfather Harold Bishop's safety.

Despite Terese and Susan assuring her that the situation is under control, Sky is unconvinced and agrees to hear out Jane’s strategy to manage the co-existence of the students and residents.

However, the timing couldn’t be worse as Jane’s distracted and frazzled from Vic doing a runner. With Sky questioning Jane’s dedication to the cause, she announces she’s removing Harold from Eirini Rising and taking him home.

Shocked by Sky’s announcement, Jane puts aside her family drama of Victor’s disappearance and focuses back on her work. Her strategy is to go back to what Eirini Rising was founded upon, and bring the Residents and the Erinsborough High students together in dialogue, so they can start to view each other as fellow human beings and hopefully develop some mutual respect.

After a shaky start, the event exceeds everyone’s expectations and Harold, who wants to stay in Erinsborough because of its connection to Madge, hopes Sky’s concerns are allayed.

Sky is forced to admit to Harold that her main reason for wanting him to come back and live with her in Queensland is because he did so much for her when she was a teenager and she feels she needs to repay him by looking after him now.

But Harold assures Sky that everything he ever did for her in the past was out of unconditional love. Realising she no longer has to feel guilty, Sky is more than happy for Harold to stay.
