Susan and Terese's tension continues at the grand opening of Eirini Rising in Neighbours

Will Susan quit to save their friendship?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 27TH MAY

Terese is pleased to learn another apartment in the Eirini Rising complex has been sold, until she learns it’s been bought by Hilary Robinson.

Assuming that Paul purchased the apartment for his cousin in order to stay relevant to her life, Terese chews him out in front of Hilary, but she’s left with egg on her face when she learns it was all Hilary’s decision and Paul didn’t know anything about it.

Though Terese is forced to make an apology to Paul for her mistake, the pair share a strained farewell as Paul leaves for New York, their relationship still firmly on ice.

As everyone gathers at Eirini Rising, Terese is full of anticipation and with Susan by her side, a series of small moments remind us of the tension between the pair over their working styles.

What nobody knows is that one of the bottles of wine from Yorokobi vineyard has been tampered with and as the day progresses, we are left wondering who will drink the poison wine.

Meanwhile, Aaron has infiltrated the cycling group and discovers the identity of the pooper and the culprit turns out to be Jacob, the guy he inadvertently flirted with days earlier.

As Aaron rushes to Eirini Rising to share the photographic evidence with Karl, both men are stunned when Jacob turns up and is revealed to be Shirley Burchmore’s grandson. However, Karl’s anger gets the better of him and he confronts Jacob, wanting him to fess up publicly.

But Shirley has other ideas and tells Susan and Terese she won’t buy a studio if Karl speaks up. and she’ll implore her friends to pull out of their lucrative purchases too.

In the wake of Eirini Rising’s launch being disrupted, Susan and Terese are once again at odds as to how to best handle the fallout.

After confessing to Harold that she’s incredibly unhappy in her job and her friendship with Terese is suffering, Susan confronts Terese and tells her that her job isn’t worth losing their friendship over and to start looking for a replacement.

In the wake of Susan’s ultimatum to Terese about leaving Eirini Rising, the women confide in Karl and Toadie and realise they have very different approaches to their work and this has never been properly addressed.

When the women admit their differences and that they miss their friendship, they both resolve to change their approach and recommit to working harmoniously together.
