Tess Carmichael's surprise return puts pressure on Krista in Neighbours

Can they find a way of working together?

Coming off the high of a loving celebration with Leo, Krista is plunged into a disaster of Brett’s making at the hotel. With more guests than they can handle and no Brett in sight, Krista scrambles for a solution, only to be undercut when Brett finally returns.

Pushed to her limit, Krista snaps and fires him, leaving her with egg on her face just in time for Tess Carmichael to make her surprise return to Erinsborough.

Struggling under the pressure of running Lassiters with Tess Carmichael looking over her shoulder, Krista is given the task of recouping the enormous costs of Brett’s booking disaster,

As she breaks down to Leo, he swoops in with the idea to bring Lassiters into the restaurant’s tour pitch. Bolstered by his support, Krista manages to impress Tess, not realising that Tess may be in town for her own reasons.

As she waits for word about whether she’s landed the big tour package for Lassiters, Krista is still on tenterhooks with Tess.

Meanwhile, a curious Holly fishes for information from Tess, who acts cagey in front of her. And Krista urges Holly to keep her distance from Tess as she’s Reece’s eyes and ears and any mistakes could mean Krista is sent back to the States.

Melanie is also concerned, promising Tess she has nothing to worry about because Krista is a changed person and fully capable of managing the hotel.

Later, Tess is genuinely thrilled when Krista gets the news that she’s secured the tour package deal and Krista takes the opportunity to connect with her father’s former right-hand woman.

And it works as she tells Tess all she wants is for them to find a way to work well together. Tess is on the same page and as long as Krista meets her targets, Tess will have her back.
