The double order of the hit entertainment show sees each series extended to 8 episodes.
The series features games, sketches, music and chat with some of the biggest stars from the worlds of entertainment, music and sport and will once again be co-produced by Expectation and Mo Gilligan’s production company Momo G. Mo Gilligan himself, instrumental in the creative direction of the show.
Star guests who have appeared on the show before include Riz Ahmed, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Tyson Fury, Jack Whitehall, David Walliams, Martin Freeman, KSI, Aisling Bea, Steve Coogan and Lily Allen.
Highlights from the series two include the new strand Reply or Deny which saw Joel Dommett admit to some jaw dropping confessions, David Walliams joining the cast of Magic Mike in Nursery Grimes and some amazing revelations such as the fact Lily Allen tells everyone she meets that she met her partner on the show, to avoid saying "we met online".
Speaking about the commitment Channel 4 have shown to The Lateish Show, Mo Gilligan said "I’m absolutely thrilled that Channel 4 have given us such an incredible commissioning commitment. The whole team is very proud of Lateish and through this long-term partnership we’ll continue to work hard to make the very best show we can, whilst also creating more opportunities behind camera for those from underrepresented groups."

Today's news also reveals an extension of Mo Gilligan's The Lateish Accelerator Programme in collaboration with Channel 4 and Expectation, which provides paid production roles to drive forward the careers of talented individuals within the industry from underrepresented groups.
Expectation's Creative Director, Ben Wicks said "Friday nights are only really Friday nights when they feature the joyous upbeat high energy of The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, so it’s great news C4 have committed to a bumper order which will allow for even more ambitious editorial, especially with the show's mastermind Rhe-an Archibald stepping up to exec."

Executive Producers for the new series will be Ben Wicks and Rhe-an Archibald for Expectation and Pollyanna McGirr and David Geli for Momo G.
