The Marlow Murder Club returning to U&Drama for a third series

Expect another captivating instalment of intrigue, wit and mystery-solving.

U&Drama has today announced that their hit crime drama The Marlow Murder Club will be returning in 2026 for a third series, following the success of the first two series.

The brand new stories will reunite the beloved cast of Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, Cara Horgan and Natalie Dew, amongst other series regulars such as Holli Dempsey, Phill Langhorne and Tijan Sarr, for another captivating instalment of intrigue, wit and mystery-solving.

Filming is currently underway for the new six-part series, and it promises to delight fans with three more murder mysteries to solve, each unfolding over two episodes.

The new series promises to continue the show’s signature blend of humour, mystery and heart, with episodes one and two co-written by Daniel Rusteau and Robert Thorogood, and will be an adaptation of Robert’s third book Queen of Poisons. Elsewhere, Amy Reith will write episodes three and four, and Julia Gilbert will write episodes five and six.

Now an established part of newly promoted DI Tanika Malik’s crime solving team, retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dog walker Suzie Harris and vicar’s wife Becks Starling are back and bringing their unconventional methods to a string of high-profile murders.

From the sudden death of the nicest man in Marlow, the town’s beloved Mayor, to a celebrity chef found dead at the launch of his cookbook with half the town in attendance, the team will be working under the watchful eye of the Marlow community.

They’ll also be called to action at a university reunion in an eerie manor house where in a surprising twist, Becks finds herself amongst the suspects. Could this case threaten our amateur sleuths’ roles as civilian advisors?

Produced by Monumental Television in association with ITV Studios, The Marlow Murder Club has once again been co-commissioned with co-producer and US broadcaster MASTERPIECE, and will be produced again by Serena Cullen, with Steve Barron directing the first four episodes and Katherine Churcher directing episodes five and six.

It'll be executive produced by Robert Thorogood alongside Alison Owen, Debra Hayward, Alison Carpenter, Sophie Clarke-Jervoise and Jill Forbes for Monumental Television and Susanne Simpson for MASTERPIECE.
