Toadie gives Terese an ultimatum in Neighbours as Paul gets ready to move in

Can Paul, Teree and Toadie reach a compromise?

Returning from New York, Paul's reunion with Terese is warm and loving and he admits that being away gave him space to think about what he used to have when he and Terese were last together, a family unit with Ned and Harlow.

Admitting he misses that, Paul surprises Terese when he posits they can have that again, suggesting he moves back to Ramsay Street. Taken aback, Terese agrees to the idea and when Paul and Nell sort out their differences, the deal is done. But watching Paul, comfortable in his old surroundings, a seed of doubt is planted in Terese’s mind.

Later, Paul inadvertently sees some artwork on Jane’s computer and is genuinely impressed. When Jane reveals the artist is Nell, he suggests holding an exhibition of her work at the Complex. Nell is thrilled until she overhears Paul admitting that she is the biggest hurdle to him moving back in with Terese.

Assuming the exhibition is a bribe, Nell withdraws her permission for Paul to display her work and it's only when Jane reveals that Paul raved about her art before he knew who the artist was that Nell realises she has misjudged him.

Apologising to Paul, Nell gives her blessing for him to move in and the two agree to make an effort to get to know each other better moving forward.

However, just as Paul and Nell break the good news to Terese, Toadie arrives with much sadder tidings. Big Kev has died.

After Paul and Roxy leave to give Toadie and Nell space to grieve over Big Kev’s passing, Terese tells Toadie about Nell’s upcoming exhibition and he admits his grief to a sympathetic Terese.

Later, when Toadie tells Terese he will be taking Hugo and Angie to America and would like Nell to stay with her, she cautiously mentions the idea of Paul moving in. But Toadie says no. If Paul moves in, Nell moves out.

When Terese breaks the bad news to Paul, he's disappointed but not surprised. Struck by how well Nell and Paul are getting along, Toadie admits, after hearing from Nell how she's given Paul a chance, that he might have been too hasty in kiboshing him moving in.

Assuring him that Nell remains her number one priority, Terese asks him to trust her and he later admits he's changed his mind and Paul can move in with her and Nell.

Although Paul is grateful, Terese is suddenly uncomfortable and later tells Paul that it feels strange for him to move into a house where Nell has so many memories of her and Toadie. Coming up with a compromise, Paul suggests they should move in with him in the Penthouse. Everyone agrees, leaving Paul rejoicing.
