1. I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
Monday 20th November to Sunday 26th November at 9pm (Mon-Fri) on ITV
Last night, this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! finally got going, a week later than usual, and ten new celebrities entered the most famous jungle on telly.
Those who have taken up the challenge this year are Boris Johnson’s father Stanley Johnson, footballer Dennis Wise, comedian Shappi Khorsandi, boxer Amir Khan, Corrie star Jennie McAlpine, former member of The Saturdays Vanessa White, Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah Vardy, YouTuber Jack Maynard, Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and former EastEnders and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.
Ant & Dec were back on fine form following Ant’s recent troubles and this week we’ll start to see how well the new campmates really do get on. Will anyone break under the pressure and yell those infamous words “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” and will it be clear from week one who the eventual King or Queen of the jungle will be?
2. Would I Lie To You?
Monday 20th November at 8.30pm on BBC One
When it comes to panel shows on TV, Would I Lie To You? is up there amongst the best. Hosted by Rob Brydon the series returns this week for its eleventh series in a new time slot (previously Friday nights).
Team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack are back and each week they’re joined by two celebrities guests whose job it is to reveal amazing stories about themselves, some of which are true and some of which are not.
The aim of the game is to fool the opposition into mistaking fact for fiction and fiction for fact. Kicking the new series off are David Baddiel, Ed Balls, Jo Brand and Kimberly Wyatt.

3. The A Word
Tuesday 21st November at 9pm on BBC One
The A Word continues to prove itself as one of the most important, heartwarming and brilliant dramas on television. This week, with Paul and Alison living increasingly separate lives between the Lakes and Manchester, Paul makes an unexpected connection with Mark’s mum, Sophie when he takes her and Mark to a gig.
Louise clashes with Maurice as she begins her treatment and Eddie gears up for date night with his Manchester girlfriend Holly.

4. Motherland
Tuesday 21st November at 10pm on BBC Two
As I mentioned last week, most people have probably (by now) already watched the entire series of Motherland as it was made available in its entirety on BBC iPlayer after episode one.
But for those with better restraint than me, this week’s episodes is one of my favourites. A children’s pool party in the UK is not the most glamorous of experiences and luckily Julia is just dropping the kids off so she can prepare for an important event later that evening.
While Liz is at the newsagents the nice-looking guy in the queue leaves his wallet behind. She takes it and hopes to return it and hopefully turn it into a date. And a new Dad on the scene pushes Kevin’s nose out of joint.

5. Strictly Come Dancing
Saturday 25th November at 6:50pm and Sunday 26th November at 7:20pm on BBC One
Whilst last weekend’s show came live from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, this week Strictly Come Dancing returns home to Elstree minus Jonnie Peacock and his partner Oti Mabuse who sadly lost out in the dance off against Debbie McGee.
Just seven couples remain, and the battle for the Glitter Ball trophy really heats up as the couples will have to dance twice. As happens every year at this stage in the competition, all seven couples will dance a Paso Doble at the same time in the Pasodoblathon after performing their individual routines. The Pasodoblathon is a chance to impress Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood for those valuable extra points.
The leader board could be turned upside down at this crucial stage of the competition and once the couples have performed their routine and taken part in the challenge, the voting lines will open and it will be down to the public to decide which two couples must face each other and the judges, to dance for their survival in Sunday’s results show.
On Sunday night, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will reveal which of the seven remaining couples are in the bottom two and will have to dance for survival and Kelly Clarkson will be performing a track from her latest album before one more couple leaves the competition.
