BBC One's first of two new dramas this week, Two Weeks in August has been written and created by Catherine Shepherd and stars Jessica Raine, Damien Molony, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Pinnock, Leila Farzard and Hugh Skinner.

It follows the story of a woman who goes on holiday with her family and friends to rediscover joy in her life. But, here in paradise, what starts with an illicit kiss quickly turns the dream vacation into a nightmare - old wounds are reopened, sending the group in a chaotic spiral that soon begins to snowball, threatening to upend each of their lives in unexpected ways.

When they discover they are trapped on the island and face real-life-or-death situations, the group soon turns on each other to find out who is to blame.

Is Zoe responsible for the drama and destruction around her, or, as heaven turns to hell, are bigger forces at play? We are in Greece after all, the land of the ancient Gods...

As each of the contestants sets out to prove their worth and value to the rest of the group, can the players suss out who is a genuine asset and who is simply faking it in a bid to stay in the game? And can a blagger with a plan ever beat a genius without one?
