1. David Jason: My Life On Screen
Bank Holiday Monday at 6pm on Gold
Over the last two nights, Sir David Jason has been taking a look back at his incredible life in television in David Jason: My Life On Screen, and Monday night sees the exclusive three-part special conclude on Gold.
Told in his own words, the series offers a revealing, highly personal insight into the life and career of an actor, who has become an undisputed national treasure.
If you're sad that this is ending, fear not because David Jason is back in The Story of Only Fools & Horses every Tuesday night.

2. Strike - The Cuckoo’s Calling
Bank Holiday Monday at 9pm on BBC One
Last night saw the first episode of Strike - The Cuckoo’s Calling, based on Robert Galbraith's (JK Rowling) bestselling novel The Cuckoo’s Calling, air on BBC One.
As a special Bank Holiday treat we don't have to wait a week for episode two. In the second episode, Strike (Tom Burke) tells the police that the circumstances of Rochelle's death merit further investigation but is dismissed. He seeks out Lula’s friends, the fashion designer Guy Somé and model Ciara Porter, and learns that Lula was looking for her biological family.
More of Strike's personal history is revealed to Robin (Holliday Grainger) when Strike's half-sister Lucy invades the office. Strike visits the Bristow family home and meets Lady Yvette Bristow, Lula's elderly adoptive mother, who reveals that she and John were watching a film when Lula died. John wants Strike to focus on CCTV footage, not Tansy’s testimony.
Strike heads to Dalton to meet up again with Ciara Porter and Evan Duffield, who seems very volatile. Taking Strike back to her place, Ciara shows him a concealed compartment in her handbag. then seduces him.
Strike confronts Tansy and Derrick and makes a major breakthrough. But his discoveries are soured when he learns that his ex-fiancé, Charlotte Campbell, has become engaged to another man.

3. People Just Do Nothing
Tuesday 29th August from 10am on BBC Three
In the third episode of the best comedy around at the moment, People Just Do Nothing, the beef with Kold FM kicks off when the boys discover graffiti on the Kurupt estate.
With the station under siege, Beats decides reinforcements are needed and calls in Chabuddy to secure their boundaries.
Steves’s plan to protect his inheritance backfires, while Grindah volunteers on Angel’s school trip - but has to decide between the battle to win Miche back and the approaching Kold war.

4. The Great British Bake Off
Tuesday 29th August at 8pm on Channel 4
In case you hadn't heard, The Great British Bake Off is back this week with a brand new series. But not on BBC One, and Channel 4.
Mary Berry has been replaced by Prue Leith and Mel and Sue have turned into Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.
Over the next 10 weeks, 12 of the best amateur bakers in Britain will whisk, knead, ice, beat and bake their way through classic British cakes, perfect patisserie, Italian delights, and elaborate layered puddings.
They'll all be hoping to impress with their skill, creativity, knowledge and passion to clinch the Bake Off Crown. Each of the 30 new challenges have been carefully designed by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
Kicking the series off is... Cake week!

5. The Story Of Only Fools & Horses

The Story of Only Fools & Horses begins this week telling the definitive story of Britain’s best-loved TV family across six weeks.
The series explores every aspect of Britain’s most treasured comedy and features exclusive access to key cast members, including Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, as well as rare and unseen footage from the Trotter archives.
Reuniting much loved cast members including Tessa Peake-Jones, Gwyneth Strong, John Challis and Sue Holderness to give a rare insight into the show and to analyse their favourite sequences, experiences and memories, giving viewers unprecedented access to John Sullivan’s Peckham-based masterpiece.
The opening episode explores the relationship between Del and Rodney which is at the heart of each of the 64 episodes of Only Fools & Horses.
The on-screen chemistry and off screen relationship of two of the greatest comedy actors of the last fifty years, looking at the funniest and most dramatic scenes and storylines from the series.
It examines how important the show was for the BBC and how it quickly developed from being a 30-minute sitcom, to its feature length episodes becoming the jewel in the BBC’s Christmas Day schedule crown.
The opening episode also features a rare Christmas sketch the cast performed which hasn’t been broadcast in over 28 years.

6. Educating Greater Manchester
Thursday 31st August at 9pm on Channel 4
Back in 2011, Channel 4 explored what life is really like for school students and teachers in Educating Essex. Following its success the series returned every year since 2013 with Educating Yorkshire, Educating the East End and Educating Cardiff.
After taking a year off, the Educating series returns this week with Educating Greater Manchester. This year, the cameras are installed in Harrop Fold, a secondary school at the heart of a changing community in Salford.
In the opening episode, the pupils are comparing Trump's hairstyle with Hitler's, writing rude words on the back of a delivery van, and adjusting to the arrival of students from a range of foreign countries.

7. The X Factor
Saturday 2nd September at 7pm on ITV
Love it or loathe it, The X Factor rolls on year after year and this year the series is starting a week later than it usually ahead of a much shorter run that will see fewer live shows and an earlier live final.
Unlike the last few years, the judging panel remains the same; Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh. And of course, as 2015 proved, The X Factor wouldn't be The X Factor without Dermot O'Leary.
This year, auditions have been held across the UK, in Liverpool, Edinburgh, London and Manchester, and in a first for the show, Thorpe Park, where even the judges experienced a ride or two of their own.

Once again hopefuls are tackling two audition rounds, starting with the intimate closed rooms, in which they find themselves eyeball-to-eyeball in front of the judges.
Should they impress and secure three or more ‘yeses’, they're given the chance to progress to bootcamp to see if they have what it takes for international stardom.
This series will also see the return of the Six Chair Challenge, culminating in the live shows.
