But can Sam fight back?

 4-10 APRIL

In the Kabin, Leanne and Toyah argue about Sam’s counselling requirements. Whilst Will spots Sam in the bistro and offers him an apology. Reluctantly, Sam shakes his hand, but it’s clear he still doesn’t trust him.

After Toyah tells him to stop worrying about Megan and Will, Sam tells Hope he has been reading up on grooming cases. And when Will approaches, Hope makes pointed digs about his elderly girlfriend. How will he react?

Later, as Will chats to Liam in Victoria Gardens, Sam approaches and spells out to Will that his campaign of intimidation won’t work, and Will feigns innocence for Liam’s benefit.

Returning home, Will tells Eva and Maggie how Sam accused him of intimidation for no good reason. Storming into the bistro, Eva rounds on Nick, Toyah and Leanne, telling them how Sam has been making false accusations about Will.

Later, Sam is shocked to see Megan and Will at the precinct and rushes to tell Nick, Toyah and Leanne.

At the pub, Eva summons Will, who swears blind that he hasn’t left the pub all morning, and Sam leaves, upset and frustrated.

Back in the salon flat, Sam curls up on the sofa, consumed with anxiety and paranoia. When Nick suggests that Will might like to join Sam for a pizza, as it would be good if the lads could be friends, Ben agrees, whilst Sam masks his unease.

As Sam leaves the corner shop, he thinks he sees Will, and hears his voice calling him a loser and telling him that nobody cares if he lives or dies.

Later, Nick summons Sam to the café and reveals that he’s arranged for him to play chess with Roy.

Coronation Street continues Monday to Friday at 8.30pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
