Finally speaking her truth to Leo, Krista admits how this arrangement with Nicolette doesn’t feel right. And when Leo suggests finding a different surrogate, Krista is forced to clarify that having a baby at all, doesn’t feel right, and she wants to foster instead.

Irate, Nicolette confronts Krista, who does her best to calm the situation and mollify Addison’s worries that this latest change in plans is her fault.

With Nicolette heartbroken, Krista and Leo do what they can to pick up the pieces with Addison, assuring her that she is not to blame and is still welcome to stay with them.

Despite this setback, Krista and Leo are determined to consider whether fostering is the best path for them.

Meanwhile, as sparks fly with Colton, Zac feels the walls closing in when Krista enquires about some odd comping transactions and approvals at the hotel, which Zac insists he knows nothing about.

With plans to host a gala for the Inspiring Person of the Year Awards, Krista and Zac meet with a representative from the event, who suggests Zac should MC the event, but he acts shy, hiding a deeper truth; after all, he's hardly a model citizen.

But after Krista asks Sadie about the comping approvals, she inadvertently admits that Zac approved them all and the jig is about to be up.
