It's the late-night topical discussion programme that doesn't hold back!
Unapologetic is the latest list of commissions which have come about as a direct result of its Black to Front Project which took place in September 2021 and saw Channel 4’s entire programming schedule fronted by Black talent and contributors across all genres and advertisements, with the aim of amplifying Black voices in TV to reflect the diverse and vibrant culture of the UK.
The late-night topical discussion programme, presented by DJ Yinka Bokinni and social media star Zeze Millz, already returned in November for a full series and will return soon for a further six episodes. Once again it will be produced by SBTV and Cardiff Productions.
Guests on the first series included comedians Babatunde Aléshé, Dane Baptiste and Sophie Duker as well as Love Island favourite Kaz Kamwi, former footballer Anton Ferdinand and author Stephanie Yeboah. It's a show where guests are encouraged to say what they want to say without apologising for it.
This isn’t a show about Black people, this is the show where Black people talk freely about everything. It will offer new views on existing subjects as well as bringing new subjects and voices to the table.
Unapologetic will return to Channel 4
